What Kind of Pancakes Are You?

You Are Blueberry Pancakes

You prefer flavorful, fresh foods that are well seasoned.

You shy away from anything plain or overcooked.

It's not likely someone would find a lot of cheap convenience foods in your kitchen.

Instead, someone might find a wide array of spices, herbs, and flavorings.

Holy freeze your Tatas off!!

It snowed here yesterday!!
It was called for and we all just laughed since we had summer like temps the week before! We thought nahh....it's just going to rain....but we were all shown!!
This morning I woke up to a bit more snow and the temp of -6c[21.2] and in the windchill -14c[6.8F]. I'll post some snow pics later. It sure is flipping cold for us in the south coast of BC. Now we are just waiting to hear if the school buses are running...the school district said some buses weren't running but didn't clarify. Gotta love that huh?? I'll be back after I get my oldest son off to the school bus and post a couple recipes I made over the past couple days!!
TTFN!

Back to the Rain.

Living on BC's West Coast we are usually subject to alot of rain from November until about June.
So we only have 2 seasons here Rain and Summer...lol.... We had a great break from the rain this past winter with the exception of the almost flood at the beg of January due to all the snow we had, and only a couple days of serious downpours...now that was scary!!!! (The police came to our door to warn us and to get all our important things to safety. Hubby's sister, her family and mom who live in southern Washington State had already been evacuated a few hours before we got our news.) Had a quite bit of snow for us, but it's gone...whew...even the kids were sick of it!! I KNOW!! Crazy huh?? We've had some incredible weather the past few weeks. Freezing temps overnight but up to 12-13c[53-55F] with sun by the afternoons. Yesterday we were supposed to have a beautiful warm sunny day of 15c[59F] but it clouded over and I think it only hit 11c[52F]. Well today the rain decided it missed us tremendously and has returned home. I'm hoping it's only temporary as the kids had just got back into playing outside!!
I've seen some pretty purple crocuses out and about in the city!
Even my spring flowers are starting to come up from the ground!! SPRING is on its way OH YEAH!!!! But with spring usually comes more rain. Here's hoping for a few dry and sunny days in between since every summer we are on a watering ban. Hoping we get enough rain to ease it.
Well since it's raining there blows my plans of going through the gardens and cleaning up outside. So I will stay indoors...finish up laundry (BLAH), get some more cleaning done and help the boys with their homework!!
(Today is great day for them to be doing homework because of the rain...and oh yea because it's Sunday.)

That is all I seem to be doing lately is clean and you can't even tell!! What is up with that?? Oh yeah.... 2 young boys and their father is what is up!! ROFL!!
TTFN!!

Blah blah blah

You know, every day I have intentions in writing a fun filled blog and the days pass by me so fast that when it becomes night time I am tired and really can't think of anything to say!!
Say it isn't so right?? OMG!! It's crazy!!
I just don't know where my days go these days!!
Well today I went to Curves came home, got my baby ready and off to Kindergarten, then my afternoon slipped away from me...next thing I know I am off to pick up my oldest son from school early to take him to his basketball game...then we drove one of his friends home.
Came home and it was time to make dinner, homework, get the kids ready for bed...then I crashed on the couch and voila I am up and tired and really have nothing exciting to say...and so with that said I am off to bed now...lol...
Niterz!!

Hey hey hey!! Its FriDAY!!!!

Wow I can't believe it's Friday already!!
And wow tomorrow is Valentine's Day!!
Valentine's Day isn't a big thing in our house, and I'm not expecting to get anything because I rarely do for Valentine's Day. I bought the kids some lil choccies and scrap'd them a Valentine's Card each, and I'm debating whether or not to make one for hubby....lol...Am I mad that he usually forgets about Valentine's Day?? Nawwwww. I'm used to it.
When Hubby and I first got together he was good about it, then after a few years he was like pfffttt whatever, I don't need a calendar date plus make Hallmark any richer for you to know I love you! And I was like *chin dropped to the ground* OMG!! Are you serious??? But but but...it's Valentine's Day!!!!.... I got over it eventually...lol.....We have been together over 14 years!! And ya know what?? He's right!!
I don't need a card company calendar date sucking money from us for me to know he loves me...lol...and besides next month is my birthday...he know's he's in trouble then if he forgets me...lol...
Well this week my youngest boy who has 'special needs' has had a very good week at school.
Compared to the previous couple of weeks being just mediocre with him screeching and crying and sort of mis-behaving!! I hope things continue on great for him through out the year.
We had such a great night last friday at the hockey game we are going again tonight. Just debating whether or not to bring our youngest as he had a hard time with all the noises there.
Yesterday I actually went out away from everyone. I rarely get a chance except when I go to the gym...lol... There's a girl who goes to school with my older boy and her mom and I have been trying to get together for a long time now...well I found her on Facebook and we finally went out and had a great time. We chatted it up for a long time and had Iced Tea and these really yummie fries called Sweet Potato Fries!! Man they are so much better than regular fries!! I can't wait to get those again. Well it was so nice to get out and have adult talk without the kids or hubby around!! Don't get me wrong... I love my hubby but I don't really take time out with friends! I really need to do it again!! I miss going out with friends and laughing it up!!
Well time to go.
TTFN!!

Had a Blast!!

This is the Sony Walkman we got for our oldest son "D" for his 10th birthday. It's Sony's version of an ipod. This is a 4 gig in which he can download music, movies or TV shows.
Friday night we went to a local Hockey game. The Pilots VS The Steelers and the Pilots won 4-3. "D" invited 7 others plus his brother so there were 9 boys watching this game. Chanting FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!! They really wanted to see some fights...and well...they saw some action. They all cheered everytime there was a fight...lol...The kids had a great night, it was a late night too. They got their picture taken with some of the members who were not playing in that game plus they got to watch some of the game from the Press Box!! They were soooo excited. They got skating/swimming passes, 5 bucks off a pizza, a free All Canadian Meal from McDonalds, they also each got pucks, hockey cards and to meet the players of Pilots in the locker room after the game. "D's" cake was a cupcake cake I got from Safeway. They had only one of these hockey kits left. So I nabbed it right away. Isn't it cool?? The kids all loved it!! 24 Cupcakes, 12 chocolate & 12 Vanilla.

A shot of the game too!!

Well I am outta here for now!! I've been sick since yesterday and I need my rest!!
TTFN!!

Happy 10th Birthday!!!!

Happy Groundhog Day!!
Well I guess if no matter if you live in Canada or the US each of our groundhogs saw their shadows which forecasts another 6 weeks of winter!! BOOO!!! Bring on SPRING!!
Today my first born turned double digits!!! He was soooo stoked about it!! The BIG 10!!
Today he got to pick what to have for dinner and he picked Subway!! Nice choice, since he was originally going for Pizza or McDonalds...lol...this friday night we are having his birthday party.
Our city's local hockey team has birthday specials. $48.00 for 10 kids, 2 adults. They order up 2 pizzas, each kid gets a pop and we can bring in more outside food if we want. They have a dressing room available for us to lock up the birthday stuff. We get one PSA, and during one of the intermissions my son gets to bring a few kids on the ice and shoot pucks, get their pictures taken with the team! Also the team may have their hockey cards out by then and if so each kid gets some and the players will sign them! I'm not too sure who our local team is playing but all the kids are excited to go!! I don't think any of these kids have been to a hockey party there!! All the kids get a free pass to go swimming or ice skating and the birthday child gets a free McDonalds meal as well.... This is a cheaper birthday party thats for sure!! I ordered this super cool cupcake cake from Safeway. The theme is......HOCKEY!!! He's going to love it!! I can't wait to take pictures of it!!! I will post a pic of my son's bday gift soon!
Tomorrow I'm supposed to go with my youngest son and his class ice skating, but I'm not sure if I will take him!! I haven't been on ice skates probably since grade 2 and with him being special needs I am very scared that I can't help him on the ice and since he's never ice skated he really needs help!
Well I am off to bed now! I'm wiped right out!
Niterz!!!
