Working Momma

Last month I started training for a new job.
Tonight I filled in for a co-worker on my very first solo gig.
It's been amazing getting back to work.
I've been at home wayyyyy too long.
I look forward to the knowledge & experience I receive from my new job.

What Is Your Heart Feeling?

Your Heart is Feeling Hopeful

For you, love is a feeling that's been growing and blooming.

Whether you're in a relationship that's deepening or found a new love, your feelings are slowly changing.

You're remembering how amazing love feels - and discovering emotions you've never felt before.

Deep down, your heart is susceptible to: Getting a little carried away.

Your current outlook on love: Optimistic and playful.

Your love life will improve if you: Stop and reflect on how your love is changing.

Watch out for: Falling too hard, too fast - you've got to let your sweetie catch up with you!

How Prissy Are You?

You Are a Bit Prissy

From time to time you can be a princess, but these days, who isn't a little high maintenance?

You know what you want, and you're definitely not afraid to ask for it.

(Just refrain from having a temper tantrum if you don't get your way!)

There's nothing wrong with having high standards... as long as they're occasionally low enough to allow spontaneity and fun!

Are You an Overachiever or Underachiever?

You Are an Achiever

You push yourself, but not too much. You believe that slow and steady wins the race.

You have realistic goals and a good plan for how to achieve them. You work hard.

You keep your eye on the prize, but you also know when to give yourself a break.

You know that all work and no play is no way to live, and you definitely know how to have fun when the time is right.

What Wizard of Oz Character Are You?

You Are Dorothy

You are a little lost right now, but you are slowly finding your way home.

You are a kind and loyal person. You are the truest friend anyone could ever have.

You have an active imagination, and you are intrigued by far away places. You make friends easily.

But at the end of the day, there is no place like home. You value your family and roots.

How to wrap a Cat

How to wrap a cat.
Nice if you cat will just sit there... but there's no way in hell my cat would sit there like that.
He'd had ripped the paper and me to shreds! lol

Do the BiG Blue Test, on World Diabetes Day

Between today and November 14th, each view of this video, a dose of insulin will be donated to low income diabetic children. It's not a hugely long video, but please, view it and pass it along, again and again and again. Thanks so much to Roche & Accu-Chek for their generosity.

Twitter Rocks

I've been on Twitter for about 19 months now and I really enjoy the people I follow.
I follow BH's ( BlockHeads = NKOTB fans) I follow Vancouverites, I Follow Canucks & some other NHL Hockey Fans. Only if they aren't rude about my Canucks. lol...
I also follow Abbotsfordians, Special Needs info like Austim, Aspergers, and Sensory Processing Disorder.
Well in the past 6 months I have won many contests over Twitter. A few prizes I've had to decline such as theatre tickets and event tickets. But the prizes I've been able to claim have been awesome. A Canucks Shirt from Sports Action Lottery, Canucks Open Practice Tickets which I took my oldest boy to on October 3rd. And I also won 2 tix to Fright Nights at the Playland. So hubby and I bought 2 more tix and went Thursday October 21st, with the kiddos as Friday was a professional day. I talked to many people over Twitter saying it was really scary and I shouldn't take my kids which made me rethink this whole thing.  Well we did it anyways... took our boys and didn't regret a thing except the rain and the fact that I didn't realize that Friday was a PROVINCE WIDE Pro D Day so Fright Nights was busier than a mall at Christmas time. WOAH!! The line ups for the available rides were rediculous but not nearly as horrendous as the line ups to the Haunted Houses. INSANE!! No cameras allowed inside the Haunted Houses either. But seriously we waited 40 minutes for one Haunted house just to get to the initial starting area for the line ups and they closed the house down due to too many people.
Having a special needs son who doesn't do well with line ups and having to wait was rough too. He had a sh*t fit and tried to run away on us. So after a couple rides we decided to try another Haunted House line up...it wasn't nearly as long, it was long enough but it sure moved pretty darn fast.  I had a couple young girls I'd guess 18-22 years old behind me pushing me & hitting me with their umbrellas and I was getting pissed off... but I kept my cool.. and stood their and made them wait longer when we had to move... lol... well anyways they ended up being in the haunted house with my family and were screaming like little babies... my kids were laughing at them. My kids are 7 & 11 and weren't scared one bit in this haunted house and laughed sooooo hard at these older girls who ran to catch up to us.... lol... Karma... love it... lol...
Here are a few pics from a couple of events I won.
